Wedding Stories

Here are some examples of wedding ceremonies partially created by the bride and groom. I might add that the ceremonies were all successful and much loved by everyone.

This wedding was held in East Hampton, New York. The bride and groom so loved their dog that they decided he would be their ring bearer. When the time was right, they called to him and he very proudly walked down the aisle, the rings in a little box around his neck and tied with a blue ribbon

In Amagangset, New York the wedding was held on the beach. Everything went as planned until the Bride arrived to stand before me. She decided that she and her groom should face the congregation. So I changed places with her with MY back to the audience. Whatever works.

In Watermill, New York the groom did not wish a double ring ceremony so I placed a lei around his neck instead. That's fine, my husband didn't want a ring either and we've been married for forty five years.

In Taos a couple wanted to marry on buffalo land, so I helped them to obtain permission from the Pueblo and carefully watched my step as I walked through the pasture in my white robe and shoes.   Taos buffalo

Whatever the couple wants, within tasteful and legal limits, is fine with me.
